Sri Lanka Navy to treat rescued Myanmar fishermen

Colombo, 17 April 2011, (Asiantribune.com):
Sri Lanka Navy Spokesman Commander Kosala Warnakulasuriya said that the Twelve Myanmar fishermen who were stranded in international waters after their fishing vessel was damage were rescued by a group of Sri Lankan fishermen was brought to the Trincomalee Harbor today.
“The injured fishermen were admitted to the Trincomalee Navy Hospital for treatment, and we are already discussing this matter with the Myanmar Embassy regarding their repatriation back to Myanmar”, he said.
